About the Position
Overview and core mission of this role
A rapidly growing Cosmetics & Makeup Distribution Company based in Kathmandu is seeking a detail-oriented, responsible, and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
What you will own and drive forward day-to-day
- ✓Day-to-Day Accounting: Record daily financial transactions, manage general ledgers, and maintain accurate sales, purchase, expense, and inventory records.
- ✓Receivables & Payables: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including regular follow-ups for collections and supplier payments.
- ✓Statutory Compliance: Prepare and process VAT returns, TDS filings, tax documentations, and ensure strict adherence to Nepalese tax regulations.
- ✓Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations and generate monthly financial statements and management reports.
- ✓Cash Flow & Budgeting: Monitor daily cash flow, maintain cash/bank records, and support internal financial planning.
- ✓External Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for auditors, banking institutions, suppliers, and relevant regulatory authorities.
- ✓Inventory Control: Assist in stock control, physical inventory audits, and financial reconciliation.
Requirements & Qualifications
Skills and background we are looking for
- ✓ducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, BBS, or a related discipline.
- ✓Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience. (Prior experience in FMCG, trading, retail, or cosmetics distribution is highly advantageous).
- ✓Proficient in Tally ERP / accounting software and MS Excel.
- ✓Solid working knowledge of Nepalese accounting practices, VAT, TDS, and taxation procedures.
